The brief
The Onyx Orbit is a suspended electric fire, so the project has a very different feel from a traditional chimney breast or stove installation.
Its ceiling-hung design allows the fire to become more sculptural, giving the room a focal point without needing a fireplace surround or masonry chimney.
How the project came together
The appliance is fully programmable with a thermostatic remote control, according to the original project caption, making it a practical as well as visual feature.
Electrical work was completed by Fires In Stone’s electrical partners, P&L Electrical Ltd, helping keep the installation clean and fully integrated into the room.
