The brief
The old brick chimney breast was in poor condition, so the team installed a stainless steel flexible flue liner and framed out the opening to reduce its size.
A new hearth was installed, followed by a tiled chamber to give the opening a cleaner, more finished appearance.
How the project came together
The stove was connected, the chimney breast boarded ready for plastering and the beam fitted above the opening.
The result is a substantial fireplace transformation completed at pace, with the structure, flue, hearth, chamber and stove all addressed together.
