The brief
The old marble fire surround was removed and the fireplace opened up to install the stove.
The chimney breast and recess were then fully clad in brick slips, creating a strong rustic fireplace feature.
How the project came together
The stove is the Norvik 5 from CastTec, with a flue liner from Schiedel UK.
The finished result is a cosy, textured fireplace wall with far more presence than the previous marble surround.
