The brief
The Rondo is a distinctly contemporary stove, with a cylindrical body, curved glass and elevated firebox that give it a softer, more sculptural appearance than a traditional box-style appliance. In this room, that shape works particularly well against the patterned feature wall and large glazed doors, adding warmth without making the space feel crowded.
Because the property did not require a traditional chimney, the installation uses a twin wall flue route rising directly from the stove. This keeps the overall design clean and makes the stove feel like an intentional part of the interior rather than a compromise added later.
How the project came together
A circular hearth has been used to follow the shape of the stove, which is a small but important design detail. It keeps the footprint compact, protects the floor, and helps the installation sit naturally in the corner of the room.
The finished project gives the customer the atmosphere of a real wood burning stove in a layout that suits modern living. It is compact, efficient, easy to view from across the room and visually light enough to work beside glass, soft furnishings and contemporary décor.
