The brief
Fires In Stone constructed a reclaimed brick wall behind the stove to protect the timber structure.
An insulated flue was used, which the project details include can be positioned as close as 5cm from timber when installed correctly.
How the project came together
The summerhouse is intended as a reading room, making the stove a natural centrepiece for comfort and atmosphere.
The finished project combines practical heat protection with a warm, rustic look that suits the timber setting.
