CastTec Nevis T5 Feature Chimney Breast in Blyth

This Blyth project for Joanne and Stephen shows what can be achieved in a new build property that originally had a balanced flue gas fire but lacked the character of a real stove feature.

CastTec Nevis T5 Feature Chimney Breast in Blyth

Project at a glance

Blyth | Twin Wall Flue Systems | Planned, supplied, and installed by Fires in Stone.

The brief

Fires In Stone created a new feature chimney breast constructed in steel framing, allowing the multi fuel stove and flue system to be integrated properly into the property.

The CastTec Nevis T5 multi fuel stove sits within a chamber lined with Olde Bayswater Blend brick slips, adding warmth and texture to the new structure.

How the project came together

A TW Pro flue system passes through the gable wall and rises externally to full height, providing a practical flue route where a traditional chimney was not present.

The non-combustible beam above the opening gives the fireplace a classic mantel detail while remaining suitable for the installation.

Details worth noticing

The finished project is a strong example of how a new build home can gain the visual warmth and character of a stove fireplace with the correct design and technical planning.
