The brief
The new surround is the Hexham 1500 from CastTec, an aptly named choice for the location and a strong architectural frame for the stove.
The Parkray Aspect 5 gives the fireplace a contemporary flame picture while still working well inside a traditional surround setting.
How the project came together
Opening the fireplace creates more depth and gives the stove a more natural position within the room.
The finished result combines a named stone/fireplace surround with one of Hunter Stoves Group’s popular contemporary stove models.
