The brief
The original stonework was in poor condition, so the team built a brick chamber to create a decorative and more reliable finish.
A cottage-style sandstone hearth was used to suit the scale and character of the inglenook.
How the project came together
The Consort 9 Slimline gives the fireplace a strong stove centrepiece while working within the proportions of the opening.
The finished result is traditional, warm and much improved from the original condition.
