The brief
The first part of the project removed an old inefficient gas fire and replaced it with the Parkray Chevin 5 Inset from Hunter Stoves Group. This appliance is designed to fit into an existing angled fireback, allowing the installation to be completed with minimal disruption.
The second installation used the Di Lusso R4 Euro, also from Hunter Stoves Group. Fires In Stone manufactured and installed a shaped slate hearth before routing the flue up through the ceiling and out through the wall in the bedroom.
How the project came together
The two installations show different solutions within one home: one designed around an existing fireplace opening, the other a freestanding stove with a purpose-planned flue route.
This is a strong multi-room project because it demonstrates how stove specification changes depending on the room, existing structure and customer requirements.
